Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee was established in 2000 with a mission to produce physicians who serve elderly, rural, minority, and other underserved populations. Students complete preclinical training in Tallahassee and clinical years at community-based regional campuses across Florida (Daytona Beach, Fort Pierce, Orlando, Pensacola, Sarasota, and Tallahassee), plus a rural program in Marianna.
