About
The UMKC School of Medicine, located on Hospital Hill in Kansas City's Health Sciences District, works to advance community health through physician and health professions education, research, direct service and economic development. It is best known for its combined 6-year B.A./M.D. program admitting students directly from high school, and uses a distinctive docent team system that places students in clinical settings from the first weeks of the program; a traditional 4-year M.D. program and a rural-medicine track in St. Joseph, Mo. are also offered.
Your numbers, tracked against every school on this list.
MedTrack logs your GPA, MCAT prep, clinical hours, shadowing, research and volunteering, then shows you where you stand against real matriculant data. Built by pre-meds.

Dominant pathway is the 6-year B.A./M.D. program admitted directly from high school (incoming class 105-110 per school FAQ; ~60-65 Missouri, 30-35 regional, 10-15 out-of-state); a smaller M.D.-only cohort matriculates in January. class_size value is the top of the published 105-110 B.A./M.D. range and excludes the MD-only cohort. acceptance_rate computed from school FAQ (~1,500 initial B.A./M.D. applications, 105-110 matriculants). Tuition is M.D.-program (years 1-4) tuition and fees for summer-spring; a middle regional tier ($69,477) applies to residents of AR, IL, KS, NE, OK; B.A./M.D. years 1-2 are billed at lower undergraduate rates. The $50 fee is UMKC's general (secondary) application fee, the only school-side fee besides AMCAS.
