The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, established in 1975 in Athens, is a state-supported osteopathic medical school with a mission focused on training primary care physicians for Ohio, including rural and Appalachian communities. It operates three campuses — Athens, Cleveland, and Dublin — with a case-based learning curriculum in place since 1994.
